The investigational treatment works by helping to control inflammatory signals known to contribute to the buildup of [plaque] psoriasis.
Participants will receive the investigational treatment, standard-of-care treatment, or a placebo (a substance that looks like the investigational treatment but does not contain any active ingredients) while completing various study tests and procedures.
Over the duration of the study, participants may have the opportunity to change treatments to receive the investigational treatment or standard-of-care treatment. The study treatment will be given as an oral pill.
Neither participants nor the study staff will know if participants are receiving the investigational treatment, standard-of-care treatment, or a placebo. Participants will attend up to 20 scheduled study visits over the course of about a year.
